Packing Light for Travel

As the summer is winding down, maybe you are planning an end of summer vacation or weekend getaway. Save some money on airline baggage fees by planning your outfits and packing light. Pack items that can be mixed and matched.

My husband has always been a light packer. We have 4 children, a boy and 3 girls. As the children got older, luggage became an issue. For weekend getaways, we were allowed one tote each. Period. It took some getting used to; however, I soon realized I liked this way of packing. My outfits were already planned, so it didn't take long to get dressed and start the day.

Clothing and accessory possibilities:

Lace Shell Top with Cami. The camisole is not connected to the lace shell and  can be worn separately.

Casual T-Shirt Dress. This dress is quite versatile. You can wear as a skirt by adding a shirt or a sweater and a belt. Easy to layer by adding a jacket or cardigan. Pair with leggings or tights for colder weather. Pair with sneakers for a day of sight seeing and then change into a sandal with heel for dinner.

Colors of Fall Colorblock Button Front Cardigan. You can wear the sweater alone or as a cardigan over a top or dress.

Consider a versatile handbag like a crossbody clutch. A crossbody clutch can be worn as a crossbody bag while out and about and a clutch in the evening for dining. A solid basic color can be worn with all your outfits.
