Take the Pledge

Take the Pledge

We've taken the pledge to make 1 in 5 of our purchases from a small business, online or offline. Now, more than ever, small businesses need our support. If you don't have any small businesses in your area or are looking for some to support online, we recommend the Small Biz Shopping Directory. You'll find hundreds of small businesses from jewelry and apparel to baby and kids, home and living, and so much more.

If you are in the Sacramento area, you may want to consider the African Market Place at 2251 Florin Road. They are open every 1st and 3rd Saturday. I recently purchased some Cocoa & Shea Whipped Body Butter from Yisrael Family Urban Farm. You can find them online at www.yisraelfamilyfarm.net

Speaking of Body Whip, have you tried Nspired Body Whip? My daughters and I tried the Pure Healing body whip. I love the way it melts in your hands. It moistens your skin without leaving it oily.

We also picked up some homemade caramel popcorn from Kelly Korn at the African Market Place. Believe me when I say this popcorn is addictive. My only regret, I didn't buy more.

Another local place to shop a lot of small venders at one time is Bliss Marketplace. They have two locations: 2529 Mercantile Dr, Suite C, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 and 2722 R St, Sacramento, CA 95816. You will find vintage, refurbished, handmade and so much more.

If your local nail salon has closed, we recommend Gottem Pressed

Don't forget to take the pledge to make 1 in 5 of your purchases from a small business this holiday season.
